Howard Zinn

Jewish American social historian, essayist and playwright, professor of political science at Boston University and chair of the Department of History and Social Sciences at Spellman Community College in Atlanta. His approaches incorporated ideas from Marxism, anarchism and socialism. From the 1960s, he was a leading figure in the civil rights and anti-war movement in the United States. Author of more than 20 books, including A People's History of the United States and Declarations of Independence.
